Height requirement

I was wondering if most professional companies have a height requirement.  If so, what is it?  Thanks!

If you have particular companies you are interested in, you should contact them directly and ask what their specific requirements are. A reasonable uniformity in height is necessary for corps de ballet work. Other difficulties extremes in height might produce are, in general, if you are an extremely tall woman, you might have difficulty finding a partner; if you are a very short man, you are not likely to be given "prince" roles. However, there are excellent dancers of all heights; if you are exceptionally tall or exceptionally short, you can find a way to make that work for you, as long as your technical capacity abd artistry are as good as or exceeds the norm for whatever company you are interested in.
